THE BESPOKE STORY COMPANY
MY STORY
My Writing Journey

Beth Davidson is a pioneering storyteller and writer creating unique performances and publications. With sparkling words, playful humour and haunting images she performs poems, fairytales, romances, fragments of forgotten myths, witty folktales, mysterious legends and wild epics. She creates dark and gleaming stories set in strange worlds that seem strangely close. Her performances are captivating, tender, elegantly crafted and shot through with songs and unusual musical sounds.
Trained as an actor, Beth has always loved performing. She studied for a BA Education with English and Drama at the University of Cambridge before running away to drama school in Berlin to train as a performer with an MA Devised Theatre and Performance. Here in Berlin, she learnt the power of oral storytelling.
Stories are owned by us all: they unite us, they are the ultimate magic.

Beth soon discovered that she had an ability to make up short stories in verse almost on the spot. She likes to call them her 'Pories'- poem-stories. This was the inspiration behind setting up The Bespoke Story Company. If you are searching for the perfect, unique and utterly personal gift for a loved one or friend then what better present can you give them then to immortalise them in writing, in a story?
Everyone has a story (or Pory!) waiting to be written about them.
This is my journey into trying to build a Bespoke Story-writing service.

The Alphabet of Agony
They are feminist tales written in rhyme,
For those who love stories but don’t have the time!
Rhymes aren’t just for children you should know;
These gruesome tales will surely show!
A little bit sad with characters bad;
The one thing for sure is they’re certainly mad.
Take a peek, if you dare
For an alphabet beyond compare...
